Michele Morris, now semi-retired, was the owner of Cooking with Michele®, where she taught private cooking lessons to both adults and children. She was a professional recipe developer, food photographer, and trained sommelier.
Michele received her dual Italian citizenship in 2023 and leads annual food and wine tours in Southern Italy every fall. Her popular food and travel blogs can be found on her cooking website, cookingwithmichele.com.
Michele’s food and travel writing has appeared in numerous regional publications, including The Denver Post, Colorado Homes & Lifestyles, Edible Front Range, and Nourish Food Magazine. Clips from her published writing can be viewed online through the tab above.
Her first cookbook, Tasting Colorado, was released in early 2013, and won both the Colorado Authors’ League Writing Award as well as the coveted Colorado Book Award. Her second cookbook, A Taste of Washington, was released on the fall of 2014. Both books feature Michele’s mouthwatering food photography.
Michele’s first memoir, Poco a Poco, was released in the summer of 2018 and won the Silver Nautilus Book Award.
